Looks say a lot. Do people think you are part of their culture or an outsider posing as “one of us”.?
Big Tom here rep-re-zent-in the powers that be from internet land and thinking about how to help small businesses gain more acceptance from potential customers….
Have you ever been dressed inappropriately for a party? Either you are the only one wearing fancy clothes or maybe the only one that isn’t all sparkly?
When it comes to website design, you want to be sure you are ‘dressed right for the party’ – that’s the best way to connect with your customers and to sell.
Lots of people think fancy designs are better – but dressing like a prince to sell to paupers isn’t going to work very well. The idea is to look like part of your tribe. Sure, stand out a bit but don’t try to create a whole new look…unless that’s your tribes thang.
Don’t use design to impress yourself! It matters a whole lot more whether others like it or not. Make sure your site design mirrors your customer’s expectations and you’ll gain a lot more attention than you do now.
