Free Chrome Browser Screen Capture Tool
Big Tom here with another time saving tool, helping you figure out how to add free screen capture software to your browser.
When something doesn’t work right on your website and you need to explain what is happening to a professional, what better way to show them exactly what is happening for you? There is no clearer way to communicate your experience.
Here is the free tool for Chrome:
How to Operate it
Click the link above and it will show you this screen (I’m on a Mac) or you can get it from the viewedit FAQ. The upper right corner has a button to add to chrome.
Once it’s installed, you will see a friendly little green dude in the upper left of your browser. Click on him and you will be asked to allow him to access your microphone.
Choose allow and click on the green dude again. This will bring you to the login screen.
I sign in with Google like this…
Once you are signed in, click the little green dude again and it will open your control panel.
To Record just tap the record button and a countdown will start. When you are finished, tap the little green guy again and you will be taken to a page to view the video you just shot.
Add a title to your video at the top of the screen and play the video to test if for sound quality.
Copy the link to the video down below the video itself where it says “copy link”….
Share the video by hitting the share button to reveal social networks to share on…
Need to find you shot a week ago? Do this by clicking on the green guy and then scrolling down in the control panel to see videos you have made by pressing the video tab instead of showing your feed.
That’s basically it. The company promises to host the videos forever along with a list of other benefits you can read about on the VeiwEdit FAQ page. This extension is capable of more so visit that FAQ page to learn more. Thanks Google!
